Sustainable Growth. Infrastructure Projects. Inclusive Liveable Community.

Our future depends on it.

What city do you want our electorate to be?

There is no strategy in place to handle unprecedented growth of that kind. And no political party player has committed to working with us to create one. We should come first. The people of our electorate are tired of party players and head nodders who do nothing.

Put Our Community First

Access & Inclusivity

One in four of our community identifies as having a disability. They, along with their family and friends, shouldn’t be disadvantaged due to accessibility issues.

Cost of Living

Election stunt rebates and reduced fairs only highlight the problem. If the current government needs to buy your vote with your taxes to cover their mistakes (privatising energy, pubic transport mismanagement) we have bigger issues.

Crime Bullies

Nonexistent youth and family services, strained resources, cost of living crisis, housing crisis, extreme poverty, lost education facilities (TAFE/Alternate Ed/overfilled high school), and limited job prospects have all resulted in increased youth crime. A detention centre for children as young as 10 is a travesty that is costing the taxpayer a billion dollars. It’s a school for creating better criminals.

Infrastructure Solutions

Accelerated growth in our area means already stressed infrastructure is now under extreme pressure. Roads, health and medical services, education providers, and housing availability are stressed or not available.

Considered Growth & Development

Our area grew exponentially over four years. Rapid development with no consideration for infrastructure has been a massive oversight. Planning and developing the much needed infrastructure should be of the highest importance for the State member.

Youth & Family Services

Youth & family services have gone from minimal to non-existent. Our last remaining Youth Service, the alternative education facility, had its funding cut this last election term. The State member said those at-risk youth could go to Rocky every day. Can you see the correlation between youth crime and the reduction of services? Hopefully, now you can.

Ongoing Projects & Initiatives

Accessible Capricornia

“We don’t need to waste energy talking about island name changes or bullying children raised in poverty who turn to crime. We need discussions on infrastructure, jobs, education, health and support services. We need to create a strategy for our LOCAL issues and roll it out!”

– Petrina Murphy, Independent Candidate for Keppel

Smart Development. Considered Growth.

We are now seeing the result of overlooked issues rapid growth has created. Locals bottlenecked in traffic every morning to school drop-off or Rocky workers getting to the highway. Roundabouts backed up for kilometres. Medical services under strain are now totally overwhelmed. Doctor’s Clinics not taking new patients. Housing shortages. Our community is suffering from ill-considered growth. And it’s not slowing down. Projected to be at 63,000 by 2031. All levels of government need to work together now to create a strategy and roll it out.
